I recently discovered Streit’s Matzoh Ball Soup mix. Delicious. I get their no salt added version and add my own – just the right amount – of garlic salt. (Their salted version is a bit too salty.)

Thank you. And what’s really amazing about this soup mix is that you form the matzoh balls from the mix with moistened palms into little tiny walnut-sized orbs, drop them into the boiling soup liquid, cover simmering, and 30 minutes later they are as big as oversized billiard balls. I get 8 humongous matzoh balls when done.

Not to everyone’s taste, but you can buy a box of Matzoh Ferfel (basically busted up matzoh crumbs) and pour some on top. Good stuff.
