Queensboro Pedestrian Walkway

Forgive the lack of regular formatting, as this post is being generated through Flickr’s wordpress application. Caught this a couple of weeks ago while walking over the Bridge- the Queensboro Bridge- to Manhattan. Something about the deep shadows and bright East River air just grabs me.
A nicer walk on the south side of the bridge, which for many years was for walkers while the north side was for drivers. It must have been nicer yet in the early days of the bridge when the upper level carried the walkway, and you could take an elevator to it from Vernon Blvd.
